For more info, if you are on the side of less melanin it will show up red and inflamed/raised, if you are on the side of more melanin, it will show up inflamed/raised. The red is less noticeable the darker your skin or dependent on your skins undertone. Yes, I have asked people to show me their pits so I have actually seen this rash on various skin colours.
