From the soap maker:

Sometimes it seems like reducing your plastic use and waste can seem like an insurmountable task, but it doesn’t have to be everything all at once.  I am all about small functional changes in my ongoing quest to make environmentally friendly choices. one bite at a time.

For this I teamed up with my amazing friend Megan from Wild Woods Pottery.  I know nothing about pottery, so I was amazed to learn that she is able to take pieces that break or don’t work out and soak them and create new items from that clay.  It got my brain thinking about taking waste clay and using it to create a useful vessel for a zero waste dishwashing solution.  When I came to her with the idea she jumped on board had the PERFECT stoneware ramekins made up for me right away.
These beautiful handmade ramekins are glazed in either tourmaline blue or a natural speckled white colour and can be washed and reused with one of our refill pucks or live a new life as something else. (I love a handy little bowl for making charcuterie boards for snacking).

The dish soap contains no artificial colours or fragrances and is septic safe, there are no bleaches, plastics, or surfactants, just beautiful sudsy bubbles scented with an essential oil blend of rosemary, lemongrass, and sweet orange.

How to use your solid dish soap:
Simply fill your dishwashing vessel or sink with some warm water, wet any dish brush or cloth and rub it onto the solid dish soap, you will create and pick up lots of lovely bubbles to wash your dishes with.

Rinse and dry as usual!
