Glycerine is derived from coconut and vegetable oil, and is a byproduct of soap making process. Glycerin is a moisturizer that can also be found in personal care products such as skin lotion. It helps prevent a product from drying out and breaking apart. It works by drawing water in and forming a barrier on a surface to help retain moisture.
